Born in Kluang, Johor in 1976, Adnan Hassan graduated from UiTM’s prestigious
Faculty of Art & Design with a first-class Degree in Fashion- year 1999
His graduation collection, called “recycle jeans into creative style”. The collection
was snapped up in its entirety by a few magazine reporters, who have introduced the designs in their magazines. In 1998, at
age of just 22 during study, Adnan was named “CHINA INTERNATIONAL YOUNG FASHION DESIGNER CONTEST” in Beijing. He experienced in garment and automotive field such as designer after graduated. In July 2002,
once more time he was awarded “GRAND PRIZE- ANUGERAH BENANG EMAS (MAJALAH JELITA)”.
Adnan Hassan officially launched his own label with his partner in year 2003
as “BUTIK ADNAN HASSAN” in Shah Alam, producing Couture and unfinished jeans collection. As well as we know, Malaysian
is not exposed very much in Fashion field and they can’t appreciate the collection he made. He understood Malaysian
requirement but, he still want to try to make it commercial. End of the day his financial difficulties did not end, so he
took the action to introduce multiple products such as corporate, dinner and wedding dress.
Happily, in early 2005, his business was quite successful. He grabbed headline with
a series of “SOAL JAWAB PERKAHWINAN” introduced by Majalah Perkahwinan aimed to give knowledge and educate those
who want to get marry, it is related with dress concept and design only. He also enjoys a range of outside interests, including
illustration, decoration and landscaping.
